Couple months ago my brother needed some portraits for his trip to Savanah Acoustic Music Seminar. These portraits were an argument between him and I. He wanted to shoot outside and I wanted to shoot in studio. When it came to the day of the shoot it was raining and muggy outside so we ended up shooting in studio.
This session is when I realized I love studio and really enjoy what I call dramtic portraits. This style of shooting is something I crave every time I step into the studio.
With the Seminar there is only a hand full of artist across the state selected every year. This was his second year. For this seminar you need to enter in a recorded song of you playing your instrument. They then filter through and select their artists.
At the event you practice a couple days with other artists while practing lead positions and playing behind a leader. Then the last night they all get up on stage and throw a huge concert. During the concert they all break up into smaller groups playing a song they practiced together. You can follow the link provided to hear some beautiful music. At the 31minute point is my brother and his band playing a song he wrote. Take a listen and enjoy the portraits we captured.
